E-Bike Sharing in Sacile

What is e-Bike Sharing in Sacile?

It is the new bike sharing service at fixed stations in the Municipality of Sacile. You can pick up a bicycle in one place in the city and return it to another. There are pedal assisted bicycles at your disposal, that give you the opportunity to move quickly, independently and sustainably. A network of connections designed for those who want to experience the city of Sacile and its territory on two wheels.

Who is the Managing Company?

The project is promoted by the Municipality of Sacile and managed by the subsidiary company LIVENZA SERVIZI MOBILITÀ SRL, as part of an important and broad mobility strategy aimed at creating a system capable of offering citizens and tourists a range of alternatives for urban and extra-urban mobility.

Charging Stations

1. PIAZZA LIBERTÀ (train station): e-bike rental + 1 place for charging private e-bikes.
2. CAMPO MARZIO: e-bike rental + 1 place for charging private e-bikes.
3. PARCHEGGIO PALAMICHELETTO (via Cartiera Vecchia): e-bike rental.

How does it work?

Only people of legal age (older than 18 years) may register for the service.

The service is accessed via the “BKSApp” App. The BKSApp can be downloaded to mobile phones with an Android or iOS operating system.

Registration for the service may be done directly with QR-code from the stations through the BKSApp.

Afterwards, the Users may buy a credit top-up through the app with one’s own credit card.

The app allows Users to identify the closest cycling station, the availability of e-bikes and places available to park the e-bikes.

You may reach the nearest e-bike station and pick-up the bike (the drop-off station does not necessarily have to be the same as the pick-up station).

The e-bike rental service is personal and allows the use of only one bicycle at a time and one person per bicycle.

Improper use of the vehicle may result in liability to the registered rider, who is also liable for improper use by a third party other than the person that registered and signed the terms of use, thus excluding the Managing Company from any responsibility.

The use of e-bikes is active 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

E-bike Pick-up

The pick-up of the bicycle by a User is allowed only in the racks where a green LED is lit next to the bicycle. If the LED is not this colour, it means that the e-bike is being recharged.

To pick-up the bike, perform the following steps:

Scan the QR code on the single charging station with the smartphone camera using the app and wait for the acoustic signal (about 3 seconds) and for the indicator light to start blinking blue and green.

Remove the bike from the rack within 30 seconds.

Once the picking-up has been completed correctly, the rack will turn on the white LED.

The removed e-bike, if pedal assistance is activated, has a runtime of about 50 km.

E-bike Drop-off

The drop-off may only be made in racks without bicycles and with a white LED lit at any cycling station present in the municipal area.

To drop-off the bike, perform the following steps:

  • Scan the QR code on the single charging station with the smartphone camera using the app and wait for the acoustic signal (about 3 seconds) and for the indicator light to start blinking green and white.
  • Insert the bicycle in the rack within 30 seconds; if the bicycle is not inserted within the time allowed, you must wait 1 minute and repeat the drop-off procedure.
  • Once the rack has authenticated the bike, an acoustic signal will be heard, the drop-off is complete.

If the User does not find free racks, they may drop-off the e-bike using the “rack occupied” option. This allows the User to leave the e-bike adjacent to the charging station. In order for the system to “block” the charging of the rate, it will then be sufficient to report this condition through the app with the option “deposit via padlock” so that the Managing Company is informed in real time, to arrange for its pick-up.
